Last week I was able to meet up with my school friend Heidi and her adorable little boy Louie. Last time I saw them was on Louie's first birthday, so it was nice to catch up with them again, this time at the University of Leicester Botanical Gardens. There was a sculpture exhibition showing and the one by the entrance proved to be a big hit with Louie, who enjoyed climbing on it and posing for the camera (until a moody woman told us off..)

There were lots of pretty flowers to smell...

This is one of my favourite shots of the day. Louie was really clever to know exactly where the centre was and enjoyed spinning around on it!

Louie also loved playing in the mud and pulling out the name tags of the plants growing there!

There were lots of steps to climb...

..and Louie almost took a dip in the pond!..

There were lots of other children there to catch Louie's attention...
...and some very tall statues to hide behind and peep out at mummy...

All the fun got quite tiring so Louie enjoyed a peaceful nap in his mummy's sling to end the trip.
I had lots of fun playing with Louie and capturing his pure joy at beautiful flowers, ponds and sculptures. He loves discovering new things and getting excited about every little thing in his view. I really enjoyed chatting with Heidi too and hearing about her latest happenings. Hopefully it won't be too long again until we enjoy another outing!

Check out Heidi's blog here!
